An Unlikely Source of Inspiration

Muriel's Kitchen4

On a recent trip to London, I set out to explore all the home decor shops I could handle. The aim was to get some inspiration for new stock for Shop Ardor and check out the latest trends. After visiting countless shops it was time to refuel with some dinner. I stumbled across a little place in Leicester Square – Muriel’s Kitchen. As soon as I walked in, I thought WOW, this place is amazing! If you are ever in the big city make sure you pop in, the food is just as amazing as the decor.

On arrival you are greeted by a gorgeous counter, lit by these statement copper lights. See the post on How To Decorate With Metallics for some ideas on bringing this look into your home.

Decorative plates adorn the walls, a look which I plan to create in my own home – post to follow!

Tucked away in the corners of the restaurant are shelves packed with unique and vintage finds, the simple bird hanging from the tree is my favourite.

The tables have natural wood tops with white painted bases and colourful chairs. There has been an emergence of  tables surrounded by mismatched chairs in home decor magazines – post coming soon.
